Research projects

We develop revolutionary solutions in new application areas working synergistically in projects co-financed by the European Union.

Case study
ALIFUN

Conversational agents of digital marketing in service of the tradition of the Mediterranean diet

The objective of the ALIFUN project is the development, on an industrial scale, of prototypes of functional foods in the main agri-food sectors typical of the Mediterranean diet (dairy, cereal, meat products, fruits and vegetables, olive oil, wine).

Exprivia will be responsible for developing innovative tools for digital marketing research through the use of conversational agents capable of capturing consumer behavior patterns and helping the Agrifood Industry identify market choices for product proposition.

Case study
GRINS Growing, Resilient, INclusive and Sustainable

With GRINS available to public and private actors, statistical analyses capable of representing socio-economic, environmental, healthcare, and financial trends on the themes of growth, resilience, inclusivity, and sustainability.

Exprivia's task is to develop an innovative platform for managing heterogeneous georeferenced data at a granular level called AMELIA (Data Platform for the Transfer of Knowledge and Statistical Analysis).

Case study
FOCAAL

Farma4all

The objective of the Farma4All project is to create a mini-Customer Relationship Management software platform that can best manage marketing and customer loyalty activities in pharmacies, inter-operating with existing systems and allowing the network of different players to interact, populate and discuss the environment, made available via the Web.

Case study
QUANCOM

A technology that uses the properties of light at the quantum level to offer unconditional security to communication systems thanks to its ability to reveal the presence of attacks and breaches of the communication channel in real time.

Smart Future Organic Farm

Reducing the environmental impact in agriculture to obtain healthy food and protect the environment. This is the goal of Smart Future Organic Farm. An innovative (monitorable, measurable and certifiable) method of organic production that strives for zero-CO2 farming.

PROSIT

The goal of the PROSIT project is to achieve an integrated hardware and software clinical collaboration platform for the diagnosis, care and monitoring of cardiovascular diseases.

HEAL9000
The HeAL9000 project proposes the creation of a “Service Robot” in the Healthcare area. It sets out to develop a platform that offers cognitive abilities in a Robot capable of: (i) learning information through the perception of the environment in which it works, (ii) interacting with people and things so that it can look after patients in a natural way, (iii) monitoring events and actions to be activated in the event of specific cases.
OBIND
The goal of the OBIND project is to develop a computerised system in the oncology field which allows for aggregation and analysis of different data sets, focused on studying the interaction between different biological molecules that are found to have changed in tumour diseases and in order to create a rational outline for planning new treatments.
ACROSS

The project “Environment for Secure Operations of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems” (AcrOSS) proposes to contribute to the safe and efficient handling of the operations of small drones (sUAS) in low altitude airspace, controlled (airport-based) or otherwise, where traffic includes aircraft both with and without a pilot on board. The project will study and develop innovative technologies and capabilities, on the ground and on board the aircraft, for a clear view of the traffic conditions of sUAS and greater and more accurate handling of emergency situations due to dynamic restrictions of the airspace or unforeseeable events affecting the safety and efficacy of the operations.

CAREGENIUS

The purpose of the CareGenius project is to develop a new IT suite that transforms the large volume of health data available, including in textual form, in company databases and in electronic health records, into actionable knowledge in the provision of healthcare, in research and in governance of healthcare systems. By applying Natural Language Processing (NLP), Big Data and Analytics/AI technologies to the healthcare segment, tools will be developed to support clinical and managerial staff for care management, diagnostic and treatment pathways, prevention and strategic planning.

SI-ROBOTICS

The SI-ROBOTICS project aims to conceive and develop new solutions in the field of ICT assistive robotic technologies to support the provision of healthcare services. The scientific objective of SI-ROBOTICS is to design and implement easily adaptable technological solutions to help the elderly in their daily activities and to assess the progress of their physical and cognitive decline (fragility, dementia, mild cognitive impairment). This makes it possible to identify specific challenges for early diagnosis, objective assessment, therapy control and rehabilitation. Innovative robotics concepts and solutions will be introduced to anticipate user needs and provide assistance, monitoring and coaching.

INSTAMED

The aim of the INSTAMED project is to create an integrated hardware and software platform for standardization and advanced automation, through IoT (Internet of Things) and / or CPS (Cyber-Physical Systems) technologies, of the processes of diagnosis, care and surgical treatment with a personalized medicine perspective.

BIOMIS

The BIOMIS project envisages the establishment of the first Italian biobank of intestinal microbiota and human saliva with the aim of carrying out research activities aimed at identifying the relationships between microbiota and pathologies and testing innovative therapeutic approaches involving the transplantation of human microbiota in patients affected by specific diseases in order to modulate the patients' microbiota and restore the healthy one.

ECHO

In 2018 the European Commission, through the H2020 programme, launched a call with the aim of gathering specific specialist expertise, organising and co-funding four pilot projects aimed at bringing together and sharing inter-sector knowledge in order to develop a common European Cyber Security strategy.

Digital Future

The “Digital Future” project focuses on two technologies, Big Data Analytics and the Internet of Thing (IoT), currently acting as the principle drivers of the technological revolution in the industrial sector. These technologies connect digital and “smart” devices with people and places, creating contexts where the physical and digital worlds collide and become increasingly hybridised, and increasing the demand for the management of huge amounts of data.

FILO BLU
The FILO BLU project is part of the activities in the field ofoncology, also pediatric, particularly delicate both for the aggressiveness of the pathology and for the sensitivity of the patient and it arises from the need to improve doctor-patient / caregiver communication during home therapies, acting on the quality of monitoring and support for home therapy.
BigImAGING

“Big Data” and imaging genomics for the development of innovative biomarkers and nanovector drugs to diagnose and treat inflammatory processes in dementia BigImAGING.

FINDUSTRY4.0 – Future Internet for Industry 4.0

Research activities focused on the study and definition of a prototype that aims to build an ecosystem of ICT services based on an Open Digital Platform for Industry 4.0.
