Born in Bari on 9 February 1958.
He graduated in Classical Literature from the University of Florence (1981).
From 1982, at Gius. Laterza & Figli, he filled the roles of: editor, proofreading services coordinator, School sector coordinator, editor-in-chief and General Director of the Bari office. He has been Chief Executive Officer of the company since 1997.
He was Vice Chairman of Confindustria (association of Italian industries) for Southern Italy and Regional Policies (from 2012 to 2016).
He was Chairman of Confindustria's Culture Commission (from 2008 to 2014).
He was executive Vice Chairman of the Luiss Guido Carli University (from 2010 to 2013).
He was Chairman of Confindustria Bari-BAT from December 2006 to June 2011.
