The world of CyberSecurity is fascinating, but requires strong specialisations. With the aim of reducing the gap between those entering the employment world for the first time and the enormous market demand, Exprivia has developed Exprivia CyberSecurity Academy.

The candidates are students and graduates with a great passion for CyberSecurity.

The Academy is also open to students who have not yet completed their university course. In this case Exprivia supports the candidate in drafting their degree thesis.
Exprivia CyberSecurity Academy is a training course for professionals who want to transform their passion for CyberSecurity into work.

Training course and areas of specialisation

CyberSecurity is a discipline that requires different specialisations that can suggest different kinds of work, from the management of security systems to incident analysis, consultancy in risk management to forensic analysis, service delivery to sales and pre-sales. Therefore our prime objective is to understand aptitudes and desires, suggesting the best specialisation suited to the candidate's characteristics.

Based on the chosen specialisation, the goal of the Academy is to develop the talent and improve the skills of the participants by providing them with:

  1. solid basic preparation in the field of CyberSecurity
  2. mentoring by experts in the field;
  3. certification in the tools most used in the sector.

The Academy offers a training course of about 8 months duration.

In the first five months participants will learn the basic notions of CyberSecurity.

More specifically, the course involves lessons in:

  • CyberSecurity Fundamentals - This includes different specialisations, definitions, attacking methods and activities, security processes and organisation (unattended or online/face-to-face learning).
  • CyberSecurity Basics - Identify any threats, learn techniques and methods to defend against malicious people, configure your device correctly, classify the different types of malware, phishing and vishing (unattended).
  • GDPR Basics - Security requires knowledge of laws and regulations. The GDPR course is perhaps one of the most popular (unattended).
  • Python Basics - CyberSecurity requires knowledge of programming, operating systems and the network. Python is an example of programming language, but being able to programme is necessary for everyone. (unattended).
  • Internet of Things Fundamentals: CyberSecurity cannot exclude knowledge of risks to the IoT (unattended).
  • Network Basics - Develop the skills needed to secure networks and prevent intrusions (unattended).
  • Introduction to Powershell - Teaching the basics of the scripting language for the administration of Windows systems (now also usable on Linux systems) in the corporate network. You will learn the basics of the language, the methods of concatenation of commands, conditional control and iterations, up to the writing of scripts. The course introduces the basics of Powershell in a practical way and with a view to systems. (unattended)
  • Operating System - CyberSecurity requires programming, operating system and network knowledge (unattended).
  • Application Security Basics  Understand application security, i.e. the discipline of processes, tools and practices aimed at protecting applications from threats throughout the application lifecycle (unattended)
  • Public Speaking - CyberSecurity does not have a clear and evident ROI. Being able to communicate is as important as delivering the service (unattended or online/face-to-face learning)

A laboratory activity is set up (optional):

  • Network Basics Lab (online or face-to-face learning)
  • Application Security Basics Lab (online or face-to-face learning)

All courses issue a certificate of the skills acquired using the open badge 2.0 framework having passed an exam and a certificate of attendance for the courses delivered on the Udemy platform.

Upon completing this first stage, participants will be given the Exprivia CyberSecurity Academy Level I badge in compliance with the open badge 2.0 framework.
