Antonio Giuliano
Born in Salerno and lived in Naples for over 20 years.
Father Engineer Officer and mother Mathematician, both from families of entrepreneurs in the construction and food industries.
Graduated in Electrical Engineering with excellent marks from Naples Polytechnic in 1970.
In 1970, he joined Italtel (then Sit-Siemens), a large company in the Stet Group, active in the telecommunications sector, and immediately began working in the ICT department supporting the development of telephone exchanges.
At the beginning of the 1980s, in Marisa Bellisario's Italtel, he was in charge of systems support for the design, production and deployment of the new digital switchboards.
At the end of the 1980s, his entrepreneurial vocation combined with the solid skills he had acquired led him to found the Pride Group: the Italian IT and Telecommunications company that offers products and services, at the top end of the market, in Italy and Europe.
In ten years from the small initial nucleus of 7 professionals he led, Mr. Giugliano led the Pride Group to grow to about 1,000 employees and over 100 billion lire in turnover at the end of 2000. These results put the Pride Group in the ranks of large companies and with this role the Group landed in those years in Confindustria and started a project for listing on the Stock Exchange, later suspended due to the sudden change in the context.
Over the next 10 years, the Pride Group grew to over 2,000 employees and approximately 130 million euros in revenues, with five offices in Italy (Milan, Rome, Naples, Turin and Padua) and branches in the four main European countries of Germany, France, Spain and England. It is also accredited as one of the most significant national ICT players with Italian capital in the Telecom and Energy-Utilities Markets, making significant investments in the development of products to support Telco Operators.
The great process of worldwide concentration in the ICT Market and the successes that have had international resonance, brought the Pride Group to the attention of the Swedish multinational ‘Ericsson’, which acquired the ‘core’ activities of telecommunications and utilities following a spin-off of the SAP, PA Central and Managed Services activities (the latter acquired from IBM).
Therefore, starting from 2010 Antonio Giugliano together with a small group of Managers continued his entrepreneurial activity with the aim of enhancing the ‘assets’ merged in Present.
Present thanks to organic growth and M&A operations grows from the initial 35 millions/€ in 2010 to over 115 millions/€ in 2024, with a staff of over 1,500 professionals.
At the end of 2024, the project to find an industrial partner is completed, which leads Present to merge into the Exprivia Group, constituting one of the most important national players with a worldwide presence and projection.
He currently holds the position of Director in the Board of Directors of Present S.p.A. and in the Board of Directors of the company Giano S.r.l.. He is also a member of the General Council of Assinform, a position that will end next June.
