Founded in 1964, with 8 production plants and 13 sales offices worldwide, Maschio Gaspardo is a leading international group in the manufacture of agricultural equipment for soil preparation, sowing, fertilisation, crop treatment, grounds maintenance and haymaking.
The Group is able to meet all farmers’ needs, guaranteeing robust, efficient and durable products thanks to a careful selection of materials, attention to detail and constant monitoring of production processes.

Needs
In 2020, the Group decided to abandon an in-house management logic by relying on an external partner to update SAP ERP ECC (ERP Enterprise Central Component), moving on to its evolution in the cloud: SAP S/4HANA on Azure.
Several areas are involved (production planning, materials management, warehouse management, Sales & Distribution, Quality Management, finance and control) for a total of 430 people to be supported and trained in the new procedures. Considering that 50% of Maschio Gaspardo’s users are distributed all over the world, the migration project was undoubtedly very challenging from the point of view of systemic and operational coordination.
It was a matter of efficiently managing a substantial amount of geographies, languages (10 to date), currencies, time zones, regulations and policies. As a reference supplier in the SAP field, Exprivia has been chosen as the technological partner of the entire Group which, in 2022, begins the major maneuvers to involve all the branches of Maschio Gaspardo between now and the next few months.

Exprivia, in addition to following the entire phase of analysis, implementation, testing, data migration and user training, is also reviewing the design of operational processes, eliminating all custom structures, created over the years, and then reaching a Standardized, centralized and intelligent governance.
Results
By exploiting the capabilities of the analytics integrated in SAP S/4HANA, in addition to reshaping Business Intelligence, Exprivia is supporting the Group in evaluating the use of Group Reporting and SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud) Planning solutions to consolidate the consolidated statutory and management financial statements and the complete budgeting process within the SAP S/4HANA system.
