We believe that the value of a business is also measured by its ability to create well-being for people and communities. We promote inclusion, skills development, and health and safety at work, supporting initiatives that foster shared growth and a positive social impact.

ISO 45001 – Legislative Decree No. 81

Respect for people

When the workplace is truly safe

Safeguarding health and safety is of fundamental importance for the respect of human rights in relation to key aspects such as the protection of people’s physical safety, relations with communities and respect for principles such as the right to life, health and freedom of expression.

Exprivia, in compliance with the provisions of Legislative Decree No. 81 of 2008 and all other relevant regulations, is committed to safeguarding workplace safety and people’s health, implementing all necessary and appropriate measures to ensure that workplaces fully comply with the highest standards of safety and hygiene. Exprivia has decided to adopt a Occupational Health and Safety Management System compliant with the UNI ISO 45001 standard, with the aim of making workplaces safer and healthier and preventing work-related illnesses and accidents, with a view to continuous improvement.

SA 8000

Commitment to ethical conduct

Human resources are recognised as a fundamental and indispensable factor for the development of every company and, consequently, of the national social and economic context.

Exprivia considers it important to establish itself in the ICT sector as an ethical partner, secure and reliable for all relevant stakeholders.
Exprivia regards its social commitment as central and a priority, in accordance with the SA8000 (Social Accountability) Standard, through the adoption of a Social Responsibility Management System.
The SA 8000 Standard is based on the ILO (International Labour Organization) conventions, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. The aim of SA8000 is to provide a standard based on international human rights norms and national labour laws, which protects and contributes to the empowerment of all personnel involved in carrying out the company’s activities, including personnel employed by its suppliers.

UNI/PdR 125

Gender Equality

Gender Equality is a key element in creating a fair and inclusive working environment, free from barriers that hinder equality, where every individual has the same opportunities to realise their potential without any form of discrimination.

Exprivia considers it essential to establish itself in the ICT sector as an ethical, secure, reliable and fair partner for all relevant stakeholders. To demonstrate the centrality and priority given to its commitment to gender equality and to promote a fair and inclusive workplace, Exprivia has implemented a Gender Equality Management System, compliant with UNI/PdR 125.
The integration of this system into our corporate philosophy is part of a broader vision of sustainable development in line with the objectives of the UN 2030 Agenda on gender equality, women’s empowerment and the reduction of inequalities at national and international levels.
UNI/PdR 125 is a key tool for bridging existing gaps, embedding the new paradigm of gender equality into the DNA of organisations, and bringing about sustainable, long-lasting change, thereby helping to build a future in which gender equality is an established reality.

GDPR Compliance

We are transforming the world through technology whilst respecting the protection of the fundamental rights and freedoms of natural persons and, in particular, the right to the protection and free movement of personal data.

The protection of the fundamental rights and freedoms of natural persons, and in particular the right to the protection of personal data, as enshrined in the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union and the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (‘TFEU’), forms the basis for the free movement of personal data within the Union.

EU Regulation 2016/679 (also known as the GDPR – General Data Protection Regulation) aims to harmonise the protection of the fundamental rights and freedoms of natural persons with regard to data processing activities and to ensure the free movement of personal data between Member States. Exprivia, in line with its corporate mission, requires that the management of all business processes be structured in accordance with internationally recognised standards and the regulatory principles applicable to the processing of personal data contained in the GDPR and Legislative Decree 196/03.

Underlying this is the assumption that protecting the rights and freedoms of natural persons indirectly protects the business of the company and its customers as well. It is with this awareness that Exprivia conducts its business.

The rapid pace of technological change and globalisation present new challenges for the protection of personal data. The scale of the sharing and collection of personal data has increased significantly. Current technology enables both private companies and public authorities to use personal data, as never before, in the course of their activities. Increasingly, individuals are making personal information about themselves publicly available on a global scale. Technology is transforming the economy and social relations and must further facilitate the free movement of personal data within the Union and their transfer to third countries and international organisations, whilst ensuring a high level of protection of personal data.

Relationships with local communities

One of the key challenges facing a multinational group such as Exprivia is undoubtedly that of forging relationships in the countries and regions where it has offices of significant size and historical importance, engaging with a diverse and constantly evolving ecosystem, whilst remaining mindful of its role as a key player within the communities in which it operates.

One of the main challenges facing a multinational group such as Exprivia is undoubtedly that of forging relationships in the countries and territories where it has offices of significant size and historical importance, interacting with a diverse and constantly evolving ecosystem, whilst remaining aware of its key role within the communities in which it operates.

Relationships with communities are based on the principles oftransparency, inclusivity and respect for human rights, as set out in Exprivia’s Code of Ethics. By constantly analysing the needs and priorities of the societies in which we operate, we are able to embrace new challenges, defining an increasingly competitive business model through new strategies and process innovation. Our Group has built a dense network of relationships with local authorities and organisations, at both national and international levels as well as locally, utilising tools such as sponsorships, membership contributions and charitable donations.

Our focus on communities and local areas takes the form of dialogue and partnerships with all stakeholders and with national and local organisations. Many of our senior managers are involved in representative roles within public-interest bodies and organisations. The Exprivia Group participates in the national Confindustria system and is involved in the governing and steering bodies of Confindustria Nazionale, Assinform and Confindustria Bari-BAT, with the aim of promoting projects and initiatives that have a positive impact, including in terms of sustainability, on the local area. The Group is part of networks of businesses and universities, permanent consortia and temporary groupings of various interests for the local area, generally aimed at carrying out research and development activities, supporting young entrepreneurship and fostering business innovation. Among the most significant collaborations are: Consorzio Milano Ricerche, MIP Politecnico di Milano – Graduate School of Business, Software Engineering Research & Practices Srl and numerous consortium initiatives.

Throughout the year, we have been committed to supporting cultural initiatives, emphasising the importance, even for a technology company such as ours, of promoting culture as a fundamental asset for humanity. It is only through our direct involvement that we can achieve better social, environmental and economic conditions, and it is precisely in the protection and promotion of culture that our identity lies. The study of art, history and philosophy, and their relationship with the past and present, constitutes a genuine element of social innovation in a context where, increasingly, the language of culture permeates business management processes, giving substance to our vision of the future.

Family Audit Certification

Exprivia SpA has achieved Family Audit Certification for its offices in Apulia. Certificates were presented at the Regional Offices to the companies – including Exprivia SpA – that have undertaken this process. In attendance were the Councillor for Welfare, Rosa Barone, Dr Francesca Petrossi representing the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, and representatives from the Autonomous Province of Trento.

Family Audit Certification: a management tool designed to support cultural change within the company through innovative work-life balance initiatives.

It is a standard that triggers a virtuous cycle of continuous improvement and offers the opportunity to join a network of companies aiming to become excellent workplaces. Family Audit is a registered trademark owned by the Autonomous Province of Trento, which acts as the certifying body. The certification process is carried out through systematic and standardised assessment procedures with the support of accredited professionals.
The Puglia Region, through a 2019 call for proposals, has provided financial support to underpin these initiatives within the region.
