Exprivia se adjudica la licitación para el desarrollo y el mantenimiento del Sistema Informático Integrado (SII) de Acquirente Unico Spa

Exprivia has signed a contract for the award of the European tender announced by Acquirente Unico SpA for the development and maintenance of the Integrated Information System (SII).

Acquirente Unico SpA is a public limited liability company that uses the Integrated Information System (SII), created by Exprivia in 2011, to manage information flows in the energy markets for over 36 million electricity supplies and 24 million gas suppliers.

The Integrated Information System aims to support competition and facilitate the exchange of data between energy suppliers, thus allowing end customers (households and businesses) to fully benefit from the opportunities provided by competition in a liberalised market. The Acquirente Unico SII currently represents European best practice and is a unique model in Europe that anticipates the objectives of the Clean Energy Package.

The contract envisages the development of functional systems of the SII and related maintenance services. The contract is worth approximately €6 million and has a duration of three years.

“The awarding of this tender” - says Lucio Gadaleta, director of the Exprivia Utilities business unit - “confirms the partnership between Acquirente Unico and Exprivia, launched in 2011, enabling completion of the automation of data exchange between operators in the utilities market and full compliance with the objectives envisaged by Community legislation. The extension of the SII objectives to cover management of Smart Metering and the corresponding management of over 7,000 billion annual readings enables the SII to strengthen its role with regard to the mooth operation of the market and the positioning of Exprivia as a strategic partner for the digitisation of public administration processes.”
