The Farchioni family turned to Exprivia to embark on a digital transformation journey, starting with the implementation of the SAP S/4HANA system with the aim of making the most of its capabilities.

Needs

The Project involves the complete replacement of the existing application environment, based on IBM AS400 applications, and the creation of new areas not covered by the legacy system, such as human resources management, production and management control.

Exprivia Solution

In the implementation of the project, the SAP S/4HANA processes characteristic of Food & Beverage and commercial relations with large-scale distribution were made the most of, such as Financials and Management Accounting, Human Capital Management, Purchase to Pay, Forecast To Stock, Warehouse Management/Stock Transfer, Offer to Cash, Settlement Management for the management of agreements on Customer Rewards and Bonuses with large-scale distribution, Quality Management for complete traceability and sampling of the product during all phases of procurement, processing and distribution, Split Valuation and Material Ledger for the timely analysis of the actual cost of the product and profitability, suitably integrated with the solutions of:

  • Management of sales agents and determination of their commissions.
  • Management of procurement and stocks of customers’ warehouses (Vendor-Managed Inventory).

The new system interfaces with:

  • SIAN: National Agricultural Information System for sending stock movements of olive oils.
  • SIE: Warehouse Physical Handling Management System.
  • SIO: Control system for tank valves for handling, blending and bottling of olive oil.
  • EDI: Different EDI communication systems with organized distribution.
  • MES: Factory control system.

Results

Farchioni has found in SAP S/4HANA the answer to improve, refine, integrate and optimize business processes, to the point of making them a “commodity”, so “fluid” and so clearly summarized in their performance by the Analytics tools created, to allow the Family to focus on business development and the search for new markets for its quality products.
