The growing use of telemedicine and telemonitoring services makes it increasingly necessary to have solutions that ensure the secure, transparent, and compliant management of health data. Clinical information is often scattered across disparate systems that are difficult to integrate, which affects data sharing, continuity of care, and the protection of patient privacy. Health-e-Data was created to address these challenges by promoting an innovative model for managing health data based on security, interoperability, and full control by the individual.

Project abstract

The goal is to develop an innovative platform based on blockchain, artificial intelligence, synthetic data, and smart contracts to enable the collection, sharing, and utilization of health data in a secure, transparent, and GDPR-compliant manner.

Health-e-Data offers an innovative framework based on the use of blockchain, artificial intelligence, and synthetic data—technologies that enable the secure, traceable, and GDPR-compliant sharing of health information. Synthetic data makes it possible to preserve the informational content of datasets without exposing actual personal data, thereby facilitating research, analysis, and collaboration among stakeholders in the healthcare system.

Exprivia’s contribution focused on assessing the framework’s security posture and defining cyber risk management strategies. By analyzing security cases related to the healthcare sector collected by the Cybersecurity Observatory, best practices and mitigation measures compliant with international standards were identified. In addition, the impact of emerging technologies adopted by the project was assessed from a cybersecurity perspective.

The proposed approach makes it possible to create a digital ecosystem in which patients retain full control over their own information, while doctors and healthcare facilities can access the data according to defined and fully traceable authorization criteria.
