An important result achieved thanks to the virtuous relationship between academic and industrial research.

Neuroscience, equipped with the tools of Data Science and AI, today plays a fundamental role, particularly in research on Alzheimer's disease, the most widespread and disabling neurodegenerative disease for which, to date, there is no cure. A great challenge is that of early diagnosis, which represents an important goal in the perspective of testing new drugs.

Innovation projects
We develop revolutionary solutions in new application areas working synergistically in projects co-financed by the European Union.
A physical and virtual place
where pilot projects can be developed
The Innovation Lab is the backbone of Exprivia's research, development and technology integration activities. An open place for exchanging experience and knowledge with the academic and research world, it has led to the start-up of several partnership projects with leading research institutions such as the Milan and Bari polytechnics, La Sapienza, Bari and Salento universities, CNR and Cefriel. With Cefriel it will be promoting “tech frontier” projects through a special commercial partnership programme.
The Innovation Lab identifies and adapts innovation opportunities to the corporate business model, coordinates projects receiving public grants, creates innovative technologies and solutions for transfer to the business production areas and enhances the company's expertise by helping to create new, distinctive skills.
3 lines of innovation
In line with the Industrial plan, the lines of innovation concern solutions included in the paradigms of the Smart City, Industry 4.0 and the Digital Transformation.

Smart City
Improvement of public administration services with a view to simplifying, reducing the cost, reusing and enhancing the value of the existing organization

Development of services for the public

Advanced services for planning and using individual mobility through mobile and secure payment for public and private services
Industry 4.0
Solutions for the improvement and streamlining of company processes, development of green IT and Internet of Things

Tools for a new use of software applications (cloud), for smart data management (analytics and big data)

Augmented reality applications on newly designed immersive vision devices

Tools for new entrepreneurship and the implementation of innovations

Services for companies and utilities for optimizing energy efficiency
Digital health
Tools for improving the quality of health and social security for people, individual wellbeing and social inclusion

Health applications and integrated bioinformatics tools, to support the interpretation and evaluation of the data coming from genomic screening for diagnostic purposes
MELODIES: Open Data for Research, institutions and industry
Creating value from Open Data
EVER-EST: The virtual research environment
EVER-EST offers computational resources, workflow management and cloud-based archiving
Digital city 2.0
identikit for the ideal smart city

"Digital City 2.0" is a framework that identifies the environment for developing all research activities in which the central elements are citizens of the third millennium and their relationship with an urban environment that has become a genuine ecosystem. A smart city in continual contact with the community of people that inhabit it, from which it takes information and to which it provides services that use, process and redistribute the same information through fixed and mobile devices. An enormous laboratory divided into specific research areas that range from Health 2.0 to Mobile Ticketing, from Big Data to Energy Optimization, from Mobile Assistant to Internet of Things.

science at the service of services

The objective of the Puglia@Service research project is to perform a strategic, organizational and technological operation that enables the transition of the Region of Puglia towards a "smart area" model.

Through the application of open, user-driven collaboration and innovation principles typical of the MIT Living Labs, the project proposes to break the innovation concept down into Internet-based services, in a setting of what is called Future Internet.

The efficacy of the model proposed and its correspondence with the structural need for change expressed by the Regional Authority of Puglia have found a valid field of application in Public Administration and integrated tourism.

tools for doing business

To use the wealth of knowledge and collective intelligence present in the social networks to support the development of entrepreneurial skills, to promote innovation, and to improve problem solving and decision making. These are the objectives of the VINCENTE project, pursued through the creation of a methodological, technological and service platform designed for sustainable entrepreneurship. Exprivia's task is to create infrastructure for the integration and management of heterogeneous information sources and to provide Business Intelligence and Market Analysis services.

LOGIN integrated logistics
on the supply chain's tracks

This project aims to develop a platform for bringing demand and supply together in transport services so as to guarantee maximum traceability in all phases: from the acquisition of raw materials to their transformation into single production activities, the handling of the product and its delivery to the end consumer. In particular, Exprivia has created a hub&spoke platform for the exchange of digital business documents with the possibility of legal validity between the persons involved in the chain.

Puglia Digitale 2.0
IT moving towards basic commodities

The spread of an economic model oriented towards IT consumption sees a switch from software as a product, managed independently by its user, to software as a need-based set of services. In the Puglia Digitale 2.0 project, Exprivia transforms the existing software and classifies the macro components of business with a view to building a platform of SaaS services for eGovernment and Open Data, mobility, Ambient Assisted Living, tourism and culture, and green energy management.

Lab 8 A/B
when care starts from genes

The project extends the electronic clinical record for large-scale analysis of the genomic data for the study of hereditary diseases. Through integration with the network of general practitioners and the Edotto network, it allows personalized medical treatments to be initiated, also on the basis of pharmacogenomics, and constant monitoring through remote medicine.

building well to optimize energy consumption

The project aims to develop innovative, sustainable solutions for improving energy efficiency in building and is divided into two complementary lines of research: the first on the use of energy efficient materials and solutions for the opaque cladding of the building; the other, which involves Exprivia, concerns the development of systems for managing and optimizing the energy balance of the building, which are capable of predicting and managing both the users' requests and the energy available from renewable sources.

ITS Italy 2020
IT for transport

Multimodal transport requires not only integration between the various types of transport but also, and above all, immediate availability of the data and quality of the exchange of information between the players along the entire process. Within the scope of the ITS ITALY 2020 project, Exprivia develops data communication system solutions, aimed at creating smart systems for modular toll tariffs and an integrated platform for the management of communications between operators in the chain.

Active Ageing @ home
a smart home for an independent elderly person

Enabling fragile, elderly people to be self-sufficient in their homes is an extremely important objective to improve their quality of life. The Active Ageing @ Home project pursues this objective through the development of wearable and non-wearable, fixed and mobile IT solutions that assist users and monitor their homes, in order to prevent risks, encourage appropriate physical activity, socialization and social inclusion. Exprivia's specific objectives are to develop the event identification module, the acquisition of data from wearable sensors and the range of objects for assisting users.
